Iga Swiatek Post 5 Great Pictures Showing Herself As The World no1...........Fans In Awe

Tennis fans are used to seeing many changes on the top of the WTA rankings, but since Iga Swiatek reached the top, she has been there for a while now. It is safe to say that the Polish native is the best player in the WTA circuit at the moment, and it will take some time before anyone challenges her.

So, being world No. 1 has made her one of the superstars of the game today, with many fans following every step of her. Swiatek has been very active this season, and we will keep track of every match she plays.

Swiatek continues to impress on the tour, claiming the Polish Open title following her quarter-final appearance at the All England Club. She has not realized the same success after coming across the pond, coming close with semi-final exits in Montreal and Cincinnati.

She has the momentum under her belt and all eyes will be on her to defend the US Open title. As it stands, Swiatek is the only champion from the last five editions to be participating in the event. However, with the rise of Jessica Pegula and Coco Gauff, while Ons Jabeur and Aryna Sabalenka continue to impress, it will not be an easy path to success for the 22-year-old.

There are not many players who can claim to have Iga in their pocket. The Polish ace’s next rival can boast about this statement. Jelena Ostapenka has come across the world number 1 thrice in her career and has yet to taste defeat against her. With a 3-0 record against her, she will fancy her chances of reaching the US Open quarter-finals.

It will not be an easy task, despite her very impressive record against Swiatek. The reigning US champion has been in imperious form, conceding only nine games in the first week at Flushing Meadows, earning three-successive straight-set victories. On the other hand, Ostapenko has had to toil to reach this stage, needing a deciding set triumph for each of her wins thus far.

Iga Swiatek’s 2023 campaign so far
Swiatek is having a solid season being on top of the rankings the entire year. She has won four titles so far, which is far less than her eight titles in 2022.

The most important among them is the title at Roland Garros, which is her fourth crown in the majors. Previously she won in Stuttgart and Doha, defeating Aryna Sabalenka and Jessica Pegula in the finals, and most recently in Warsaw.

Going to Cincinnati, Swiatek has a 53-8 record for the season, including 27-5 on hard surfaces.

Current ATP ranking – how long is Swiatek on top of the WTA list?
In April 2022, Iga Swiatek became the first Polish player, male or female, to be ranked No. 1 in the world. Since then, Swiatek has been on top of the rankings and will enter the 73rd consecutive week going into Cincinnati.

Recently, she became the player with the most weeks as No. 1 after she passed Simona Halep among the active players. Swiatek is expected to reach the all-time Top 10 by the end of the year.
