The season of the Wimbledon Championships has witnessed a handful of historical, funny, memorable, and stunning moments throughout the tournament. However, one player who missed out on playing her home Grand Slam was Emma Raducanu. As players are now gearing up for the US Open, fans are eagerly waiting for a comeback from Raducanu. It looks like their prayers have been finally answered! The US Open champion shared an update on her Instagram, which painted the world red. She offered a glimpse into her professional life for the first time after three months of rehabilitation, and fans are over the moon!

She has been away from the majors for almost half a year since her last Australian Open in 2023. After the Madrid Open, Raducanu could not play any tournament owing to her multiple injuries. The British sensation attended her home Slam this year as a member of the audience. She even interacted with the Princess of Wales, who lifted her spirits. But now she is out on the court, honing her skills.

The 20-year-old British star made sure to be active through her social media while she was away from the court. Recently, Raducanu returned to the gym and started her practice for the upcoming hard-court season. She shared a reel on her Instagram in which she was seen doing various workouts.

Raducanu captioned the post, “hi ! 🤩 first few steps but nice to be reintroduced 👋.” She started working on a cable machine to train her lats, moved on to dumbbell lunges to work her quads, did some hyperextensions to work her lower back, and the video ended with her using the leg press machine to work her quads.

A section of netizens even praised the music choice of the young Brit. The 2021 US Open Champion paired the reel with the sped-up version of the song, ‘Party No Dey Stop’ by Adekunle Gold and Zinoleesky. Fans poured their love, appreciation and wished good fortune to the British star.

Along with giving a sneak peek into her workout regime, Raducanu also confirmed her participation in the first tournament after her defeat to Jelena Ostapenko in the Stuttgart Open.

The Grand Slam champion is set to take part in the MGM Macau Tennis Masters, an exhibition event in Macau, a special administration region in China. The event takes place for two days starting from December 2nd. This is an indoor hard-court mixed tournament event with two men’s singles matches and one mixed doubles on the first day.

The 2nd day will witness one women’s singles match, and two men’s singles matches. This event is co-organized by IMG Sports Group, the organization that represents Raducanu. The former US Open champion will face the Olympic gold medalist Belinda Becnic in her first match. Players like Frances Tiafoe, Yibing Wu, and Taylor Fritz have also signed up to play in this tournament.

This exhibition event in Macau remains the official comeback of Raducanu, as she did not confirm her presence at the US Open 2023. Do you think the young sensation will play this year’s hard-court Slam? Alize Cornet defeated the Brit in the first round of the 2022 US Open, and she hasn’t had a memorable outing in major events since her career-defining victory. Will this year mark a perfect comeback season for Raducanu?
